Translation: “There is no power nor strength save in Allah.”

These few words represent one of the most significant and powerful aphorisms in our religious tradition. In fact, our beloved Messenger (May Allah bless him and give him peace) instructed us to increase its reading and described it as “a treasure from the treasures of Jannah” (al-Bukhari). It is through these words that we acknowledge that no individual can accomplish anything without the help of Allah ta’ala. It is also through these words that we gain the necessary strength to help us get through situations where we feel helpless in the face of distress or difficulty.
